At Hultquist we use pearls that come from freshwater mussels and are therefore naturally produced. This means that each freshwater pearl is unique in its size and shape. All our freshwater pearls are certified and are carefully selected for each piece of jewelry.

Real freshwater pearls are sisters, not twins

When we think of freshwater pearls, we usually picture the classic round pearl in our mind’s eye. It is beautiful, and it is difficult to immediately see any visible differences between two pearls. With genuine freshwater pearls, it is a completely different story. It is completely impossible to find two identical twin pearls, but we will always aim to find sisters – pearls that have the same overall expression. That is the special beauty and challenge of working with genuine freshwater pearls.

Since rings are often exposed to more wear than other jewelry, our gold rings are coated with a full 3 microns, which is the thickness of the coating.

In addition, all our jewelry is coated with e-coating, so your jewelry will retain its color and shine for many seasons to come.

In accordance with Danish law, all our jewelry is nickel-free. Jewelry made of precious metal must be stamped with both the fineness stamp and the name stamp. You can recognize Hultquist Copenhagen jewelry by the stamp Q. Our jewelry is approved and controlled by the Precious Metal Control, which ensures quality on the Danish jewelry market.
